I have a little bit of a love affair with food. Eating it, making it, learning about it, writing about it. It’s pretty much always on my mind and something I continue to be increasingly excited about.

This blog is (rather selfishly..) all about my journey with food, and the different ways I’ve found to learn about it. By day normally I’m a marketer working across fashion, luxury and lifestyle (including a fair bit of food and drink thrown in for good measure). However, recently I’ve taken my food passion a step further, and embarked on a course with The Chef Academy, which will see me training in professional kitchens, through to Michelin Star level.

For 24 hours a week, the well manicured, (hopefully) stylish version of me that I like to present to clients will be replaced by a rather more sweaty, nail-varnishless, birkenstock and chef whites clad version, on a steep learning curve.

This blog is a way for me to capture all that I learn from these amazing kitchens, but I’m also planning to supplement this course with trips to various restaurants round the world that I admire, to gain work experience and bring new angles to my understanding of food. My love for travel and food go hand in hand, so I’m hoping that this passion proves interesting reading! I’m also going to be writing about my emerging kitchen garden (the first time in my life I’ve managed to keep things alive), and eating clean, both of which are new-found interests.
